New ELISA Test for the Detection of Mescaline in Cactus Fruit

We are pleased to announce the launch of a competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of mescaline in cactus fruit. Mescaline is the primary psychoactive alkaloid in peyote (Lophophora williamsii) and San Pedro cacti (Echinopsis pachanoi). Studied alongside similar psychedelics such as LSD and psilocybin, mescaline has reemerged in recent years for its therapeutic effect with treating mental health disorders. In support of future psychedelic research, the Beacon Mescaline Plate Kit (Cat# 20-0413), with detection limits between 10 and 1000 parts per billion (ppb or ng/mL), may be used to accurately quantify dose-response levels for administration in adult humans.
Launch Announcement: Dextran 40 Tube Kit (Cat# 20-0330)

We are pleased to announce the release of our Dextran 40 Tube Kit, designed for the analysis of fresh beet juice samples. This new format offers the same performance and accuracy as our plate-based kit (Cat# 20-0396), in a tube configuration suited to alternative workflows. The kit includes a negative control and a positive control at 300 ppm (MW = 40,000). The 300 ppm level was selected based on internal validation data and industry feedback, representing a practical threshold for identifying elevated dextran levels that may warrant further attention. The assay is fast, accurate, and straightforward to perform, making it well-suited for both laboratory and field applications. Now available on our website.
